William Lollie has been tattooing for over 20 years. His tattoo work is divided into two categories; illustration with an emphasis on rendering that gives movement and energy to the work, and Japanese tattooing that ties traditional Japanese tattoo backgrounds with Kanō school subject imagery. Some of the artists that he draws inspiration from are Kanō Kazunobu, Kawanabe Kyōsai, J.C. Leyendecker and John James Audubon.
